Pneumatics: air-driven technic parts for arms and rams (3 packs)

Cylinders, pumps, switches and hose for arms, grabs and tipping beds that move on air.

What sits in this drawer

Pneumatics are the one part of the technic system that behaves like real machinery. You pump air into a reservoir, open a switch, and a cylinder shoves a boom out with a force no gear train of the same size can match. They are also the most satisfying thing on this bench to operate, which is reason enough to own a kit.

Each kit here pairs cylinders with a pump, a pressure switch, rods, pistons and enough hose to route around a frame. They suit excavator arms, forklift masts, tipping beds and grabs — anything where you want a straight push rather than a rotation. Connectors are the standard size, so a kit extends the pneumatic parts you already have instead of replacing them.

Questions about this drawer

Do I need a compressor?

No. A hand or motor-driven pump from the kit builds the pressure; the switch holds it until you want the cylinder to move.

Can I mix these with my existing pneumatic parts?

Yes. Hose bore and connector diameters match the system standard, so you can splice a longer run or add a second cylinder.

How much can a cylinder lift?

Enough to raise a loaded model arm. Force rises with the cylinder bore, so a large cylinder on a short lever is the strongest arrangement.

One drawer over

Everything else in the collection is in the same ten drawers, a click from here. The technic half of the bench is LEGO® compatible by measurement, not by claim: a technic gear from our building set meshes with the gear from yours, and an axle pushes home without reaming. Most of what we fix comes from builders writing in; a customer note about the experience of opening a bag beats any lab test.
