On the bench

Straight track is the thing you always need more of. Plans are drawn in curves and built in straights, and the gap between the two is usually a handful of sections you did not buy. At two hundred and thirty millimetres this is the standard grid unit, which means it adds up neatly with curves of the same system rather than leaving you half a section short at the join.

How it behaves in a build

Rail is rust free nickel silver for consistent current delivery, and the sleepers carry prototype spacing and detail in a non wood material that keeps its shape with humidity. Buy more than you think you need; nobody in the history of the hobby has finished a layout with spare straights left over. The sections join to everything else we make through standard joiners.
