On the bench

The split here is deliberately lopsided toward the sizes you burn through. Fifty each of the twelve tooth double bevel and the eight tooth dual face, fifty of the sixteen tooth with clutch, thirty of the twenty tooth double bevel and the twenty four tooth with one axle hole, ten each of the big forty tooth and thirty six tooth double bevel. If you have ever built a gearbox and found yourself one small bevel short, you already understand why the small sizes come in fifties.

How it behaves in a build

This is a restocking pack, not a project kit. It suits a workshop drawer or a classroom cart where the same parts get pulled, used and lost over a term, and it suits anyone building a multi speed transmission where a single ratio can eat a dozen gears. The colour mix is random across the run, so expect a cheerful rather than a coordinated drawer. Sort by tooth count once when it arrives and the pack pays for itself the first time a build stalls.
